Just down the road from Maple Hill is Baldwin Creek, with multiple access points for fly fishing and small swimming holes, suitable for children.
The local swimming hole, Bartlett's Falls, is located along nearby New Haven River - less than a five minute drive away.

Right down the road is Robert Compton Pottery, a local artists workshop and gallery.
Among many nearby hiking trails there are multiple access points to the Long Trail, a popular favorite among locals and travellers.
There are many nearby breweries worth visiting, and events to go with them! Popular destinations are Ciderstock and the Vermont Brewers Festival, and a personal favorite brewery of ours is Drop-In Brewing in Middlebury.
The nearby towns of Bristol and Middlebury each boast their own summer attractions in various farmers markets, shops, cafes, and artist's galleries.
Every year, Festival on the Green is held in downtown Middlebury.
Once a year Addison County Field Days is held in New Haven in early August.
A short drive away you can find Mad River Glen, which hosts a variety of festivals and events throughout the summer.
Mad Marathon is held just over the mountain from us.
